This class like other Gen-2 warships, would begin production shortly after the Imperial Declaration of War against Feliingna. this allowed the ship to function without much issue.Īmong the thousands of Liberator-class Battlecruisers produced, some names would come to be recognized more than others, be it for the actions or events they partook in, or the people that served aboard them. the solution to this problem was the 2 fins and an increased number of thrusters. The ship was also built around a new type of experimental power core, the Gheist Gen-1 core which was radically more efficient in terms of fuel-to-energy output but had the side effect of generating immense amounts of heat, so much that regular heat sinks and thruster exhaust would be simply insufficient and increase the chances of the ship suffering a catastrophic reactor failure.
However as production of the Willpower continued well past the initial 5 warships, that role began to be changed into being an escort ship of these Willpower-class ships. the Liberator would've served to be a stand-in for Willpowers while they were still thought to remain a limited run of ships. Designed alongside the Willpower-class Destroyer, the Liberator had many features found in the Willpower, mostly being in the overbite design.
